• Fully volunteer-run, funded through donations and city / county stipends; they operate with no paid staff .
  
  

• Volunteers are essential — not only in distributing goods but also in sorting and managing donation quality. They’ve received reminders (e.g., “if you wouldn’t give it to your mother‑in‑law…”), due to occasional low-quality donations .
  
  

• Active participants include Custer Rotary and Feeding South Dakota, and they extend services to neighboring Buffalo Gap.
